The following letter was sent by e-mail to
Mr. Sami A. Samir Owner & Manager of Casbah Moroccan
Restaurant.
We have preserved the original title from the author.
My wife and I Sabine live just around the
corner from the restaurant in Sinclair Ave., and today we
finally made it into your restaurant. Soon we realized we
must have been insane not to go sooner, and the evening
got better and better the longer we stayed.
My wife, a German, lived in the Middle East
for 8 years as a child, and immediately felt very "at
home" amidst the decor and especially the music. We
were charmed by the atmosphere and entertainment in a way
that we rarely if ever are in a restaurant, it was just a
great place to be we immediately realized. Our 4 year old
son Nathan was with us as usual, and he especially found
it an interesting and different place, and was fascinated
by the dancing, and put at ease by the casual setting. We
too felt very at ease and pleased to be relaxing there. We
had to admit the dancer was really quite good and very
entertaining, and that the restaurant had truly entered
into a realm of achieving genuine atmosphere, not just
propped up by gimmicks and decor.
As if all that wasn't enough, the food was
the best we've had in I don't know how long. Just our
style, but cooked with such wisdom and perfection it was
mind-blowing. Then I knew that this was not just a little
place around the corner, but a serious restaurant to be
reckoned with. We finished off with an astounding dessert
and walked home with a feeling of happiness that I can't
say we've felt after any restaurant visit that I can think
of. Nathan had fun, Sabine was nostalgic, I was in
disbelief at the utter pleasantness and perfection of the
evening. We wish you the best of luck in your business,
and you can count on our loyal patronage. Thanks for
bringing a superb restaurant into our neighborhood, we
will certainly be telling all our friends, family and
acquaintances with great emphasis where they can go to
spend a truly excellent evening, at your place.
Sam
Stallard
I would like to thank Sam, personnaly for
patronizing our restaurant, and especially for sharing his
thoughts with us.
